Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Bluechip Collectors LLC (“Bluechip”) collects, why, and your choices. By using the service you agree to this policy.

What we collect

Account info — name, email, and password (hashed). Collection data — the items, values, cost basis, transaction history, wishlists, and notes you add. This includes photos, receipts, and documents you choose to upload for identification or attach to an item. Payment info — handled by the payment provider used at checkout: Stripe on the website, Apple for App Store purchases, and Google for Google Play purchases when available. We store customer, subscription, and transaction references and membership status, not your full payment card number. Support — messages, feature requests, and issue reports you send us. Usage and device data — feature activity, website page views and performance, service diagnostics, sign-in sessions, and notification tokens if you enable push notifications. Website analytics are cookieless.

How we use it

To run the service (value your collection, price items, send the alerts and reports you set up), to process payments, to provide support, to keep the service secure, and to improve features. We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers we share with

We share data only as needed with providers that power the product: Stripe, Apple, and Google (payments and purchase verification as applicable), eBay (pricing queries and, if you connect it, listing on your behalf), PriceCharting (collectible pricing queries), Vercel (hosting, image storage, and website analytics), Neon (database), Resend (email), Expo and the Apple/Google notification services (app updates and optional push notifications), and Anthropic (AI identification and receipt reading you initiate). Images or documents you submit for AI identification are sent to Anthropic for processing. Avoid including sensitive personal information in those uploads. Each provider processes data under its applicable terms and retention policies.

Sharing you choose

Publishing a listing, sharing your collection, or exporting a file can make the selected item details, photos, and seller information available to buyers or recipients. Uploaded item photos use publicly accessible image links so marketplaces can display them; anyone with a photo link can view that image. Keep personal documents out of item listing photos. Connected seller accounts also provide the authorization and transaction information needed for the features you use.

The Portfolio API

If you generate a Portfolio API key (Reserve), anyone holding that key can read your collection totals. Keep it secret and revoke it anytime from Settings.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in/sessions. Analytics are cookieless. We don’t use third-party advertising trackers.

Data retention & your rights

We retain account and collection data while your account is active. You can export your collection, remove items from your collection, or permanently delete your account. Removing an individual item from your collection may preserve its history for your records; it is not the same as permanent account deletion. For account or specific data removal, use our account and data deletion page. Account deletion removes your data from the active Bluechip service. Payment providers may retain transaction records for legal or financial obligations, and hosting backups and security logs follow their providers’ retention schedules. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data — email us to exercise them.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, hashed credentials, scoped access). No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data.

Children

The service isn’t directed to children under 18.
