Why I built this
I built Bluechip because I had to learn the hard way.
My Funkos sat in boxes in my closet for years. I knew some of them were rare. I knew the market had moved. I didn’t know which ones, by how much, or what I’d actually get if I sold them. So they just sat there.
My Pokemon cards were worse. When my family moved, I literally gave away a chunk of my childhood collection because I didn’t have 40 hours to figure out which ones were worth $5 and which ones were worth $500. I’d rather hand them to a kid down the street than spend a weekend on a spreadsheet that still wouldn’t be right.
